We talk Willow, Wicket and wizards with Warwick Davis

Warwick Davis and Ewok

We were thrilled when star of sci-fi classic, Return of the Jedi, Warwick Davis agreed to read for our film book for blind teens.

We took the opportunity to chat to him about how he got his break into acting by auditioning for the role of an Ewok.  You can also hear him talk about how the role of Wicket W Warrick in Return of the Jedi led to his casting as Willow in Ron Howard’s fantasy film. We couldn’t resist asking him about his part in the new Star Wars film (released this December) but unfortunately it was a closely guarded secret.  Not long to wait now!

We also wanted to know what it was like to be transformed into two different characters – Griphook and Professor Flitwick – in the Harry Potter series of films.  His answer is very interesting and includes examples of the different voices he used for the two characters. Well worth a listen:
