Russell Tovey and Lily Cole talk art
May 18, 2016

When we were creating the audio guides for CREATE Contemporary Art we worked with famous names Lily Cole and Russell Tovey – not because they are famous, but because they have a genuine passion for talking about art, looking at art and going to galleries.  So, whilst they were studio we thought we’d ask them about their love of art. Here’s what they had to say:

Russell Tovey’s first big break into acting came when he played Rudge in Alan Bennett’s The History Boys at The National Theatre. He’s played a lead role as a werewolf in BBC3’s Being Human and appeared in episodes of Dr Who and Sherlock.  He’s also done comedy, taking the lead in the popular series Him & Her.  Recently he’s starred in Jimmy McGovern’s drama about British convicts sent to Australia, Banished.

Lily Cole studied History of Art at Cambridge University. She has also had a very successful international career as a model and actor, starring in Terry Gilliam’s fantasy film, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and Roland Joffe’s There Be Dragons.
