Fundraising ideas

Help us by planning a fundraising activity to support Living Paintings. Here are a few of our ideas for fun ways to raise money:

Bake off!

Get your friends, family and colleagues to bake cakes, pies and biscuits. Sell what’s left after the judges have done their tasting. You could even auction the winning entries!

Bad Taste day:

Look in your dad’s wardrobe for an outrageous tie and dazzle your friends or a wacky hair piece that your grandmother brought you on your birthday. Pay to display. Your friends could pay to have the offending item removed.

Bring and buy sale:

Sell donated goods on a stall. Cakes, books and home-made jam are firm favourites.

Film night:

Create your own cinema and hold a film night for family and friends. Sell popcorn and drinks and charge an entry fee. Theme the night on your favourite type of film!

Lent challenge:

Challenge yourself ! Donate the money you save by giving up treats!

Offer a dog walking service:

Dog walking in good weather can be a lovely job and it helps to keep you fit. You can volunteer to walk friends’ and neighbours’ dogs for a small fee which you then donate to us.

Fun Day:

If your local school, church or village hall are holding a fete, ask them if you can have a stall.  You could sell cakes, old clothes and children’s toys.  A lucky dip or tombola are easy to organise, really popular and raise masses of cash.

Tough Mudder

For the more adventurous adult why not sign up to the Tough Mudder.  It’s a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test all-around strength, stamina, teamwork, and mental grit. You will need a strong sense of camaraderie to make it through the Arctic Enema, Electroshock Therapy, Everest, Funky Monkey and Pyramid Scheme.  Find out more and sign up on the Tough Mudder website.
