The David Brooke Charity have chosen to generously sponsor a new Touch to See title for our Children’s Library. The Slightly Annoying Elephant by David Walliams.

Here we have some pictures of Louis a young library member testing a draft version of The Slightly Annoying Elephant.

We then make any changes that Louis suggests with how the tactile images feel and the audio guide sounds.

Here we have Maggie a volunteer painter at Living Paintings talking us through the process of choosing colours for the tactile images in this book.

Look out for our next instalment, we will go behind the scenes with Carol and the rest of the team comb binding the braille version of the book with the tactile images.

We will keep you all posted on when we have finished adapting the book and when it is available to borrow for FREE from our online and postal library.
