The Touch to See Icon
This new initiative allows publishers, authors, illustrators and online bookstores to make sure that blind and partially sighted people know which of their books is available in our accessible, Touch to See format.
The icon has two purposes
- To help those looking for accessible books for blind and partially sighted people find them.
- To give credit to all involved in making the Touch to See books possible.
The icon is available in two formats: Static in black and white or blinking with a colour change on mouseover
There is an alt tag message that appears when the mouse hovers over the image reading ‘Touch to See version available for blind and partially sighted readers’ and there can be a facility to click from the host website to the appropriate page on this site.
The ambition is to make this icon a nationally recognised mark for Touch to See accessibility.
