I Like Books
January 21, 2013

We’re pleased to announce that a new title will soon be added to our range for pre-school children.

I Like Books by former Children’s Laureate, Anthony Browne, is an ideal introduction to reading for very young children. It features one bold, simple, colourful illustration per page and a short sentence which can be read on a Braille sticker. The character throughout is a lovable chimp who dresses up as a superhero, a pirate, an astronaut and a clown and tells the reader about all the different books he loves.

Our adapted version of I Like Books is a great way to introduce blind and visually impaired pre-school children to the joy of reading. We’ve made three of the illustrations into ‘feely’ pictures so the children can explore the costumes of a clown, a superhero and a pirate. As the book covers everything from fairytales to books that help with numbers and the alphabet there’s something for everyone. The lively audio soundtrack also features music and sound effects.

I Like Books joins our other pre-school titles such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Fun with Spot ™, One Mole Digging a Hole and Roaring Rockets. For a complete list of our pre-school titles download our catalogue here.
