Hello Liam here. Welcome to my February update on fundraising for Living Paintings.
This month we (that’s me, mum Liz and Dean) have raised £16.60 in various ways including the general auction. The auction house has kindly offered to help Living Paintings every time we enter an item into the auction. This is great, as it helps us raise more money for Living Paintings, so a big thank you to them.
We also sent some items to Music Magpie – a company which buys used CDs and DVDs for resale – we donated 10% of the sale price to Living Paintings. To find out more about how to send your CDs and DVDs to Music Magpie visit: www.musicmagpie.co.uk
When Liz and Dean visited LP HQ (on the way to the airport to pick me up, as I’d been in India…that’s another story) some members of the staff team bought our charity cards – which we handmade in aid of Living Paintings. We never like to miss an opportunity to raise money!
We did another table top sale, which will be our last until at least Autumn. We might venture outdoors next time and do a car boot sale instead, if the rain stops.
On a slightly different note we were also privileged to hold a stall at the Visionzone exhibition in Bradford on February 26. We met nearly 100 people who came to find out more about Living Paintings and the work we do to help raise funds and awareness. We hope that some of you reading this blog became library members as a result of the exhibition.
Finally, it’s time for me to sign off with a photograph of the Thermometer Barometer!
Join me again in the March update, bye for now.
