Maria’s book club title for April – A Walk Along the Riverbank
April 20, 2015

Photograph of Maria Van de VorstSpring is in full swing and I hope you have been out and about enjoying the lovely sunny weather.

My top pick for April is the perfect springtime companion A Walk Along the Riverbank. Take your book club for a meander along the riverbank and enjoy the wildlife, wild flowers, sounds, smells and textures. The tactile pictures include an otter and its footprint and the flowers Great Willowherb, Yellow Water-Lily and Yellow Flag Iris (pictured below). The atmospheric audio includes music and wildlife sound effects for your group to enjoy.

This book is great for nature lovers and ramblers. As well as multiple copies of the tactile pictures (1 for each club member), colour image pack and audio guides, we’ve included some guidance notes for the group leader. These provide topics for discussion to get the conversation going, suggestions for additional tactile activities and ideas for music to incorporate into the session.

We’re sure your group members will love this wildlife adventure, so if you want to borrow this book visit our online library.

I can help in all aspects of setting up a Touch to See Book Club.  If this inspires you and you would  like to find out more  please give me a call on 01635 299771 or email me:
