New tactile Elmer books for blind children

Final patchometer

We’ve published our latest Touch to See book Elmer’s Walk by David McKee on the same day it hit the country’s book shops (6th September 2018). Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our #PoundsForPatches campaign – it’s because of your generosity that hundreds of blind and partially sighted children can now enjoy this fantastic new picture book.

Our unique adaption of Elmer’s Walk features clear braille pages (in grades 1 and 2), hand-painted ‘feely’ pictures bound into the original published book, plus an audio guide voiced by BAFTA-winning actor, Daniel Kaluuya.
