We all love that curious little dog Kipper, and this week Living Paintings are pleased to announce that our Touch to See book, ‘One Year with Kipper’ written and illustrated by Mick Inkpen, has now been published in our free library. The fun and entertaining audio guide is read by popular actor and Living Paintings volunteer, Martin Clunes.
This delightful book is a month by month journey throughout a year by two lovable dogs – Kipper and his friend, Tiger. Through the snapshots of Kipper and his friend, we explore the different months and seasons. There are myriad seasonal activities for you to enjoy, such as; parachuting, picking blackberries, playing in the snow and, our favourite, pond-dipping – we love it when Kipper exclaims “March is the froggiest month”!
There are four tactile pictures of Kipper and Tiger that feature in the book – we won’t spoil it for you and tell which activities they are doing, but the picture above is a sneaky peak of the lovely Autumn tactile featuring Kipper, Tiger and a pumpkin lantern for Halloween. Young blind readers can enjoy reading the story in braille, feeling the characters, and listening to Martin Clunes describe the tactile pictures and illustrations.
Of course, we all associate Kipper with the voice of Martin Clunes from the wonderful TV programme, and so here is a little clip featuring Mr Clunes himself talking about Kipper and Living Paintings.

Our thanks also go to the brilliant Martin Clunes for his support of Living Paintings.
