Rediscover some classics
We recently carried out an audit of our children’s books to assess the quantity and quality we have of each title. Some of our books are looking a little tired and some seem to regularly appear on our waiting list so I am pleased to announce that we will be replenishing some of the tired looking books and producing extra copies of the popular ones over the coming months!
Here are the books we’ll be working on:
Just Like Jasper by Nick Butterworth and illustrated by Mick Inkpen

Just Like Jasper
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Faster Faster Little Red Train by Benedict Blathwayt
Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs by Ian Whybrow and illustrated by Adrian Reynolds
I Don’t Want to go to Bed by Julie Sykes and illustrated by Tim Warnes
A Dragon in a Wagon by Lynley Dodd

Dragon in a Wagon by Lynley Dodd
Five Minutes’ Peace by Jill Murphy
Peppa Pig: Peppa Goes Swimming by Ladybird
The Bears Who Went to the Seaside by Susanna Gretz
Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae and illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees
We have also been doing the same for our fabulous adult albums. Lots of care and attention has been focused on tidying up our adult packs, improving the quality of them and making sure that what we send to you is suitable and fits your individual requirements.
If you have any feedback for the library whether it be good or bad we would love to hear from you. After all, we provide this service for YOU, so we are always keen to hear what we can do to improve your experience with using our resources.
Thank you!
Those of you who have received children’s library loans from us within the last 3 months will have noticed the questionnaires we have been busy sending out. I wanted to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you so much to those of you who have completed one. Your feedback really is so important and very much appreciated. It all helps towards the funding for our charity and so without your help our service wouldn’t be possible. It has been so touching reading all of your wonderful feedback and it makes us really proud of our charity and the service we deliver.
