Secret Cinema is a totally unique way of experiencing the movies. Rather than just sitting in a darkened cinema and watching a film, you’re drawn into an immersive and multi-sensory experience. The organisers use actors and build authentic sets to replicate those in the movie they are showing. For the Back to the Future screenings last year they recreated 1950s diners, barbers’ shops, car showrooms and the iconic clock tower which appears in the film and encouraged everyone to come in authentic costumes. The smell of the hotdogs and the music of the era all helped to transport the audiences back in time.

This summer Secret Cinema are planning a Star Wars extravaganza. They are seeking rebels from around the world to join the Rebel Alliance and head to a Secret City where they will be taken on a journey through the world of The Empire. The location of the screening is not revealed straightaway and hidden codes placed around London lead people to a secret portal. There are sure to be an army of Stormtroopers, Han Solos and Princess Leias hitting London!
To be part of this amazing live cinema experience, you need to sign up to the Secret Cinema community. They have also opened a nightclub in a secret London location where you can experience dream-like nightlife scenes in worlds inspired by cinema, books, fashion, music and art. It really is the future of entertainment.
