Hi, my name is Angela and my seven-year-old daughter, Charlotte, loves Living Paintings’ Touch to See books! Here’s my review of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
“The Very Hungry Caterpillar book is much loved by children and adults alike. So we were really pleased to see that it was available in Touch to See from Living Paintings free library. When I received it, I was not disappointed.
There is a large feely picture of the caterpillar at the start of the book which Charlotte really enjoyed feeling! There is more Braille text in this book compared to the Spot books, for example, which is great for more advanced Braille readers. However, the book still had the finger holes to show how the caterpillar had eaten his way through the book, so there was still some interaction for learners. The beautiful surprise of a Touch to Feel butterfly on the back page made my daughter very happy!”
If your child, like Charlotte, would like to explore a wriggly caterpillar and a beautiful butterfly then borrow The Very Hungry Caterpillar from our free postal library. It’s one of a range of colourful Touch to See books for pre-school and primary school children.
