We love the BFG!
July 22, 2016

Calling all Roald Dahl fans! You have probably already noticed that the BFG is coming to a cinema near you this weekend.  It’s going to be the smash hit family film of the summer and we can’t wait to see it. We love the story of orphan Sophie and the BFG working together to stop the much less friendly giants invading the world of human beans. This version, brought to the screen by Steven Spielberg with Mark Rylance as the Big Friendly Giant, has already received rave reviews.

And there’s plenty for Roald Dahl fans to borrow from the Living Paintings Touch to See library! The BFG appears in the Roald Dahl Collection, together with Matilda and Danny, Champion of the World. This pack, read by Jeremy Irons, has been created to give access to Quentin Blake’s wonderful illustrations; it doesn’t tell the story but is designed to use when reading your own copy of the book in your chosen format.

There’s a second Roald Dahl Collection pack with characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach and, for young Quentin Blake fans, we have Fantastic Daisy Artichoke available as a Living Picture Book.  Have a scrumdiddlyumptious summer!
